I GOT IN!

DON'T FORGET TO GO OUT AND

My friend reminded me to try again this year and get into the lottery for open seats early. I'm glad she did, because this is the first year I was chosen to attend. I GOT IN!

Halloween is right around the corner - so of course there were Spooky displays.

The conference theme was "REFLECTIONS" and the project that each instructor prepared was a mirror. They certainly were impressive!

I joined in the card swap for Christmas and Birthday cards. I made 10 each of these two cards and then in return received 9 additional cards back from other participants. It's a great way to see what others are doing in the card making world and to enjoy sending beautiful cards to friends and family. Here are the two cards I made for the swaps.

It was the best!! Rooms at Wild Horse Pass Resort and Conference Center had views that allowed you to relax and reflect. Althought days were very busy, it was nice to wake up to this beautiful Arizona setting. Thanks to my husband, Russ, Mom and Erik for allowing me to enjoy every moment of this experience.

EXPLOSION BOOK and other crafts

Here is a quick project I made for my Mom to enjoy photos of my brother Don. It's nice because you don't have to get out and pour through an entire scrapbook, but instead you pull open the !!!EXPLOSION!!! book and enjoy!

When you begin to pull the front and back covers apart, the pages appear and fold out to make a flat scrapbook.

The back cover of the book when closed.

Once open this book is a scrapbook of memorabila and photos.

This is a two-sided book so you have two different theme possibilities or as I did, one side displays the pictures of my brother, Don during his school years and the other side has photos of his adult years.
This was a really easy and fun project to put together. You end up with all the best photos of one topic in a quick and easy place to enjoy often.

As a gift set, I also sent this vintage theme picture frame.

More from the note card set.

PRIEST GULCH VACATION

Priest Gulch is an incredible RV campground. We were surrounded by pine forest, parked on the edge of the Delores River, and enjoyed meeting other RVers from many places.

Beautiful scenery abounds in Colorado. This view of an small community around Trout Lake was just one of many lovely sites.

Delores, Colorado provided many things to do, parks, railroad museums, antique shops, and of course a Medical Marijuana Dispensery.

Colorado provides incredible scenery with peaks at more than 14,000 feet. This quaint community near Trout Lake was beautiful to see.

Russ made quick friends of "Alvin" the chipmunk. I'm sure Alvin will be missing Russ calling him to breakfast and dinner each day and all of the peanuts that Russ brought for him. But I'm sure Alvin's set for the winter now that Russ visited Priest Gulch.

Really found it difficult to leave Priest Gulch. It was so relaxing to enjoy the evening campfire and gaze at the starfilled skies.

BIG ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK

Since 1888 folks have come from miles around to see what the ruckus in Prescott, Arizona was all about. Every year that ruckus gets bigger, the contestants more daring and bold. When the bulls, the horses, the clowns come to town...well, let's just say you'll want to see what's kicking up all that dust. Without giving away the show, we can tell you it's about top athletes competing for big dollars. It's about broncos throwing their hooves any which way, bulls that are mad at the world, and leather straps holding cowboys together.

It's about time you came to the Prescott Frontier Days ®, Inc. 2010 World's Oldest Rodeo ®. We're the worlds oldest, and we're happening June 28 - July 4 2010

Xi Alpha Eta, Beta Sigma Phi - works the Prescott Rodeo!

Jack & Coke was the main item for the evening, but the food was also good! Nothing like rodeo faire.

We had a great time and served lots of cowboys and rodeo fans Jack & Coke! It's was a wild night to say the least.

This beautiful bouquet was sent to me from Dan & Chelsea Tyrrell! It arrived with all buds closed and by the end of Mother's Day it has blossomed to display these colorful lilies.

Thank you so much for thinking of me on Mother's Day!

COPPERSTATE 1000 ROAD RALLY

COPPERSTATE 1000 ROAD RALLY started at Tempe Diablo Stadium early this morning. The sun was bright and the weather warm. Everyone was smiling and picking out their favorite car as we meandered around the ballfield checking out all of the amazing automobiles.

Okay - here is our favorite auto in the show. 1964 COBRA!! First year!!! And, yes this car is traveling in the road rally. This guy from Wisconsin found the car in a barn and there was an old truck "hanging", yes I did say hanging, from chains over the car. Wild yes???

Now the story goes that he bought this car for $450K and then added $20K to get it running. Unbelieveable no????

Well anyway, it is a true survivor and we loved that it was in the rally. Nothing like a COBRA SURVIVOR to make you smile.

The minis were there. Everyone just loves the minis - especially children as they relate them to cartoons. Me too!

This was the coolest thing! This car owner must love the skull theme - there was of course the classic skull gear shifter - but with a way cooler skull than I've seen before. Loved the skull smoking the cigar! And then we looked under the hood and there is a skull floating in the gas filter! AWESOME!!!!

Bathroom redo - Tempe

Estimated time for the project to complete - Tuesday (only 2 more days!)

The old tile was removed, the wallboard was removed to allow for the drain to be rerouted to the floor.

New shower in Tempe rental. I like that the tile has been extended to include the wall behind the toilet. No more trying to paint behind a toilet and will save the wall from any water damage.
